The interest of the country should be our first priority, Mr.ObaidurRehman, former Additional Director General, PIB, Government of India, today addressed as the chief guest in the function of celebration of Independence Day organized by Alhikmah Foundation. He said, "We should believe in self-assessment and we should distance ourselves from criticism of others ,".He said, "We should understand that the country and Government are separate from each other. We do not have to be worried because Governments is there for a fixed period of time while the country will remain”. Mr.Rehman said further, "We are living with democratic system in this democratic country. Contrary to this, many Muslim countries have personal governments and there is no democracy and hence the condition they are in, is not unknown from us." Mr.Rehman said further that we have to save our children from unnecessarily using mobile and social media because our children are lost into it at all times and are wasting their valuable time.

Speaking at the Foundation's Celebration Republic, Mohammad Yousuf, Director, Guestof HonorMr. Mohammad Yousuf, said that we should understand our responsibilities regarding society and country and the importance of this day instead of rejoicing by flying kite , consuming alcohol or loitering around. And we should be ready to carry out our duty continuously. In this way, we canpay a very good tribute to the Martyrs of the Freedom movement. Mr.Yousuf suggested to the Chairman Of The Foundation ,that a book should be compiled containing the activities of Freedom Fighters and those whose story were left untold, to be publish in various languages of India and should be distributed to the public.

In his presidential speech, Mr.FasihAkmal, a renowned poet and writer, appreciated the social work and selfless service of the Alkikmah Foundation and the way the foundation is promoting theyouth to get aware of the sacrifices and the efforts of our forefathers whose endless efforts led to our freedom.

Dr.ZiauddinNadevi, Chairman of the Alhikmah Foundation, welcomed the guests on the occasion of 70 years of independence, and spoke about the efforts of Indian people, especially Muslims and Islamic scholars and described the sacrifices in detail.Dr. Zia appealed to the attendants that the best way to pay tribute to the forefathers and the martyrs would be that we should play our role in making our country better, peaceful and prosperous.

Dr Khan Muhammad Rizwan, Prof. Khan Mohammad Asif, MirzaZakiBaig, Dr. Mohammad Fazil Khan, Mr.Aqdas Sami, Mr.SaqibYassin, Syed Shoaib Ahmed, Mr.Abdullah Tariq and Ms.Mirza addressed the occasion.
